This is the second year the tech-savvy communications studio in Perth has been singled out by the Australian Web Industry Association. Last year the company scooped the ‘Most Outstanding and ‘Best Government’ awards for Frogwatch - a joint project between Alcoa and the WA Museum.
CNC faced intense competition to win the national award and was on the finalists’ shortlist alongside WA’s Curtin University of Technology and Daemon (NSW) for UNSW TV.
John Curtin College of the Arts required a dynamic online presence to engage students, parents and teachers, and act as a beacon for other school websites by combining user-friendly navigation with rich media technology.
Jacqui Butler, ICT Manager for John Curtin College of the Arts, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year at the college and this news has capped it off! We were absolutely ecstatic to hear that our site had won the Education award. Tim Paul (CNC senior web designer) couldn’t do enough for us.”
A standout feature of the John Curtin College of the Arts website is a virtual tour, displaying 360 degree panoramic photography of key locations on the campus. Other features include two streams of automated content feeds – news and events - automatically updated by staff, and fed from the index through to the homepage to cater for a constantly changing, fluid homepage layout.
All website functionality is supported by CNC’s unique Content Management System and its powerful editing and content management tools.
